Wordplay

Creative workshops that push the alphabet a bit further, make palettes out of memories, and turn words on their heads.

NOISY RENAMING

Using sound symbolism (what sounds bigger, 'drip' or 'drop'?) to rethink communicating shapes, tactility, colour and purpose - and rename everyday objects in the process. A coin became a 'tinth', a conker a 'nubbin'.

LANGUAGE OF COLOUR

Inspired by G.F. Smith's Nation's Favourite Colour project, tying words to colours and vice versa. If 'dream' was a colour, what would it be? Now what about 'nightmare'? Harder still, what about 'Oxford Street during rush hour'? Culminating in creating whole colour palettes inspired by a memory.
